Flying in each time is unbelievably spectacular. Lush mountains tower over this coastal town, waterways snake along the coast, and white beaches with crashing surf line the peninsulas.

I first visited here in 1999 and have been back twice since cos I love it so much. We surfed an epic beachie and named it Venom Bay. I have since been barrelled there many times. And in a bay not far away, are some of my favourite places to chill and stay. Zizis place is pure Madagascan style and charm, rim flow pool included. While just down the road Annie runs a beautiful rustic Lodge nestled in the palms and overlooking the bay. Just 10 min walk over the hill is the super fun and rippable Dauphin right hand point break.

And after your surf, why not visit the Nature reserve and its Lemurs, giant bats, chameleons and the mountains and waterways further down the coast. I’m going back, see you there. info@surftravelguru.com
