HI Michele and Greg (SURFTRAVELGURU)

Thanks for following up, our trip was fantastic! A real trip down memory lane going back to Thailnd, and Bali was a first so lots to adventure around see and do.

The flights ran well, we only had one delay leaving Bali on Malaysian airlines, but they had sorted the next flight to Phuket, was just a late arrival in Phuket, all good though. I would definately rate Singapore airline highly, the planes were clean and big, staff lovely, food fine for aeroplane food! Malaysia airline not great but it was a short flight-was a bit grubby and squashed.

The True Blue / GURU inside info for Bali was helpful with staying 5 days east side 5 days west side-two very different experiences from weather, food, busyness, surf, shops etc. Liam found some awesome surf on the east side, I personally preferred the less fancy west side, we explored up north, definately worth more time up there if one enjoys the more quiet traditional vibe. (this could be all a huge generalisation as we were only there 10 days !) We got around on scooters easily, seems to be the way to travel there if you are willing to take on an adventure 🙂 and one does need an International Drivers Licence, we got fined and bribed..

There were no issues at the airport with documents etc, so thanks for all the info you sent. Was great to have had seats etc pre booked, less fuss once the time came to fly.

We stayed at BG View on west Bali and at PV on the East , at TV near  Koh Lant in Thailand and at DV resort on Tonsai beach near krabi in Thailand. All were apsolutely amazing for what we needed and enjoy. the kids liked paneeda as it was on the beach. I would not include breakfast in our accommodation next time, there are so many places to eat nearby (except where we stayed in Bingin), and would be cheaper to just go grab some fruit etc if not up to a whole big breakfast each day, even the kids agreed. We dived on Koh Lanta with Scubafish dive centre on Kantiang beach. What a great few days and an awesome professional friendly dive shop highly recommended.

I have added a few quick pics – surf on east coast HR ; coffee plantations, rice paddies at Tegallalang and Hindu temple ruins North bali; Koh Lanta dive site; Toi beach and surrounding nearby isalnds.

Thanks again, all the best for your 2019:)

Sarah & family
